Daikin systems use several boards: an indoor PCB, an outdoor main and control PCB, the inverter PCB that drives the compressor, and smaller boards like noise-filter and display PCBs. Each is factory-specified for a particular model, and many also need the correct settings — some Daikin boards pair with a capacity-setting adaptor or an EEPROM that holds the model’s data. Because of that, the genuine, model-matched board is essential; an approximate match can leave the system miscommunicating. Electronic failures usually trace back to power surges, moisture or age, and replacing a board means working in the unit’s electrical compartment — a job for a licensed technician.
